view as web pdf The Kingdom Of God On Earth

The Kingdom of God has been preached for ages here on earth. Even in the Lord's prayer it is mentioned. `Thy Kingdom come,' which means the Kingdom is to be here on earth, but not heaven, as many think. The Kingdom of God has not been established but will be at Christ's return to earth. (Acts 19:8,20)

There are so many things taking place, or have happened, which confirm that the Kingdom of God is about to be established here on earth. Life in the Kingdom will be enjoyable and totally different from the present life we have today. For the saints there will be no death, no diseases, no famine or wars, and many good things that we don't experience now, for we are all still mortal by nature. (Matt.5:6)

The aim of the gospel of God is to let all people enter the Kingdom of God, but this will not happen only a few chosen will enter, for the road that leads there is narrow and many people choose the broad way which leads to eternal death. People love money, love, sex, fame, alcohol and many more things which are sources of evil deeds that lead to the grave. Jesus said that `we should first seek the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, then the rest will be added to us.' (Matt.6:30-34)

People continue to insist that when one dies, his or her world has come to an end, that Jesus will never come back to earth, because it has been said for a long time that he is about to come, yet he doesn't turn up. But we should always just be ready and be wise, like the five girls who were wiser than the five foolish ones: the wise filled their lamps with oil and even carried some spare, in case the bridegroom delayed.

Let's always be on the watch Jesus can come at any time, for he will come just like a thief unexpectedly. Nobody knows the hour. The present Governments of the world will be brought to an end when Christ comes back; there will be resurrection of the responsible dead and judgement, then the righteous will be rewarded with the gift of eternal life, to live for ever in the Kingdom of God, here on earth.
