CALABAR

The whole world is now in trouble; present day events in the Middle East tell us that the time of our Lord Jesus Christ’s coming is getting very near, to come and take his Kingdom whether mankind like it or not.

Before I came to know the Truth, I wandered many years in search of the truth. I joined an Evangelical Church and became their leader and the Scripture Union with the same post. In 2001 I started to attend Bible School with the Mennonite Church and then became one of their Pastors. After all this I was not OK with myself and started to preach something like the true word of God to my members, resulting in losing many of them and ended up being by myself, but continued praying and studying the Bible. On 12th August 2007 I was listening to the radio and heard the truth being preached by the Aba Ecclesia. The same night I heard something again which sounded like the truth which led me to pray, asking God to show me His people and I was going to write to the two groups and the first one to write to me would be the ‘all’ that I‘ve been looking for. The Aba brethren were the first to respond on 10th October, the Brethren wasted no time in visiting me and my wife and I was baptised on 4th November.

Therefore, my beloved brethren and Sisters, I am encouraging you to always keep faith because we are holding the truth; never give up, no matter what we see around us. God that has called us is faithful. Always be happy, soon this storm will be over, and then we shall reign with our King on the earth.

We recently baptised a medical student, Bro Chinwe Emmanuel Iweha, and pray that our God will continue to guide him towards the Kingdom.

Enugu Eccesia hosted the Eastern Fraternal Gathering with the theme, “The Invisible Hand of God in World Affairs”. Many came from the North, West and East. One Sister was baptized, Sis Elizabeth Ojike, from Aba. Above all, we are ever thankful for the constant kindness and care of our Heavenly Father.

I really appreciate and thank you for the wonderful and great work you are doing for our Master. I have been receiving Gospel News and I want to continue to receive it regularly. I will send my contribution as soon as it’s ready, God willing. Thank you and God bless. See you next in Jerusalem.

Gospel News is most encouraging and educative. Preaching is the great commission we are commanded to undertake as servants of our Lord until he returns.

We speak of the ‘Household of Faith’ which is a Biblical expression of the Ecclesias. It reminds us that we are God’s building. We are the living stones of this building and are responsible to see that we and our fellow brothers and Sisters are built up in the right spirit.

1 Peter 2:1-5. Exhorts us “Wherefore laying aside all malice and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies and evil speakings. As new born babies, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
