Let’s Pray, Pray Daily

When the Almighty God created man and placed him in the Garden of Eden, He continued to show His love by creating a helper for him, Eve. After the fall of man, when they sinned, God still loved them and offered them the chance of living, but they had to work in order to eat. Since God is a loving Father, He offered mankind another opportunity of union with Him, through Jesus Christ, His only son. Since the Almighty God cannot be seen, Jesus taught us to pray. Through Jesus we can communicate with God. Consider this prayer in Luke 11:2-4:

  • Our father who is in heaven: yes, the bible says clearly that heaven is God’s dwelling place
  • Hallowed be thy name: His name is holy and respected
  • Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven: whatever happens on earth should be pleasing to God
  • Give us this day our daily bread: our everyday meals come from God our Father; He is our provider
  • Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: God does not tempt anyone, and He delivers us from the evils of the world
  • For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, now and for ever, Amen: both the kingdoms and the one to come belong to God; the coming one will be known very well as God’s.

By praying, God listens to our problems, thanks, apologies and so on. Therefore if you ask God to give you something, do not give up for you may receive it after a long time. Don’t ask for too many things at a time, and don’t forget to thank God after your prayer has been answered. Please do not let us abandon the habit of praying at least twice a day. Amen.
