Lending a Hand to the Needy of Every Nation

My country was recently declared among the poorest in the world. Hopes and expectations were high for other nations to help us attain a bright future – wonderful! Great! increased salaries! more jobs and other economic enhancements, debt abolition.. These high hopes remind us of the foolishness of relying on humans. The Israelites might have hoped to find a solace in Egypt on many occasions when famine and pestilence threatened their existence. However, it was a correcting rod from the Lord for their disobedience. Sometimes our trials and hardships are a test of our patience. Jesus, like us, was tempted yet without sin. He, too, was in need but prayed to God. He was perfectly obedient to the will of his Father and received the divine approval. "This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased, hear him". He therefore set an example for us all to be patient with the Lord. Jer 29:11 says that God's plan for the world is that of welfare and not evil; the present hard ship are just birth pangs and the joy of deliverance with the coming of the Lord surpasses the present hardships.

We thank all those whose behind-the-scene work has enabled the book ‘Where There Is No Doctor’ to be sent to the needy in Africa. The Lord Jesus Christ demanded of us to give to the poor, visit the sick, and needy in prison. ‘Where There Is No Doctor’, is an example of obedience to the Lord's command. We followed the example and quickly got some first aid drugs donated by the Bamenda Ecclesia to a remote village called Buweh where there is no health facility.
