Soya Beans
There is reluctance in some parts of Africa to grow and use them, preferring traditional foods. However, they are a relatively simple crop to grow and can produce good harvests. The seed contains 20-21% high energy fat and 35-40% high quality protein. Their nutritional value is demonstrated in the following chart showing protein and lipids fats % compared to other crops and foodstuffs. We would be happy to send any in Africa a copy of a Zambian Agricultural Officer’s notes on their production.
