One of the many courses at the Bible Education Centre, is a ‘Cake Baking Class’. Cake making requires one to select the right ingredients, blend and mix them together to get a nice cake and also to carefully decorate them, all requiring some skill. In a way the Truth is a bit like that, we need a balanced mixture of different doctrines and practices that then blend together, so that we have the whole Truth... but that’s not enough. We need to decorate... by showing in our lives that we really believe and practice the principles of the Truth, adorning ourselves to make us attractive to God and others who come into contact with us, so that they too may taste and see that the Lord is good. (1 Peter 2:3; ch 3:3-4).

Sis Yvonne Dube of the Walton Ecclesia UK, who is a qualified cook, sometimes goes to South Africa to run this course of training, and, apart from benefits of becoming trained cooks, may also help some to get jobs.
