news from india
I am very thankful for the regular mailing of the Gospel News and other monthly magazines. I have become sad, in isolation since my wife, Sister Leela fell asleep in Christ at home, due to a cardiac arrest on 19th April 2009. It was a very unexpected and sudden demise which my family members could not believe until now, but I accepted it, as it is the will of God; nothing happens in this world without His knowledge. We had planned to visit the USA in May 2009, but I went alone, since my two children returned after the funeral in Mumbai. Bro. Tim Galbraith and Bro. Joykutty of Kerala also came for the funeral on 28th April 2009.
After returning from USA I visited Kerala to meet brothers and sisters of the Tiruvalla Ecclelsia. I also met Bro. Varghese Kurian of Kottiyam who met with an accident and is recovering, by the grace of God and we had fellowship with them. On Bro.Tim’s advice I visited “Sumorm” in Hyderabad to see the Children’s Home, for two weeks during the Christmas and New Year period. Now I am back in Mumbai at my home having a peaceful life, by the blessing of God, with the great hope of resurrection when Christ returns to re-establish the Kingdom in this world and with the great hope to see and live with all brothers and sisters who already sleep in faith.
I still remember Bro Duncan and Bro. Prakash from Hyderabad, visiting us one day many years back; please advise me how I can do some preaching work alone in this vast city of more than 10 million population. We have some contacts, who are only interested to receive booklets or magazines, not to believe in the Truth. I am rather disappointed when I meet and talk to them. Other baptized brothers have shifted from here to UAE or Kerala for better prospects. Now I am alone in Mumbai as a Christadelphian so I hope to meet some brothers or sisters who may pass through here for Bangalore or Hyderabad.
Thank you for your kind letter and prompt response in sending Gospel News and other books for my spiritual growth of wisdom. With prayers and best wishes for your service for the work of the Gospel.
