CANDU

Bro. Templeton Mdludlu of the Candu Ecclesia in South Africa asked us to print these pictures taken on Easter Sunday morning, April 12, 2009.  He would be pleased to see them included in an upcoming copy of Gospel News.  The first picture shows Bro. Templeton with Sisters-to-be Mirriam Jevu and Nozulo Bula, standing beside the pool in Durban, SA, before they were baptized.  The second shows Bro. Templeton baptizing Sis. Mirriam Jevu.  The right hand of fellowship and breaking of bread followed, as part of the annual Easter Conference in South Africa.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade – kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time, though for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold which perishes even though refined by fire – may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honour when Jesus Christ is revealed.

We rejoice with Bro. Obed on the baptism into our Lord Jesus, at Kempton Park ecclesia, of his wife, Mrs. Betty Mafifi. May our gracious Lord bless our new Sister and may she and our Brother Obed be a source of strength to each other and the ecclesia in their walk to His Kingdom. .
