ENUGU
Thank you for your letter regarding ‘Gospel News’. Please continue to use my address for those Brethren who live far distant and who use my mail box. As long as I live and remain in the Truth I will ensure that their mail gets to them because I am one of those who does not believe in wastage of materials and funds. Again, some of these Brethren left their families here whilst they search for jobs, as there are no more jobs here in Enugu so they get jobs outside town. It will please you to hear that after nearly two months two sisters of the same parents were baptised, they are: Mwaka and Chiege Nuaji. Enugu ecclesia send their greetings.

Surprising though it may seem, many people who have been church-goers all their lives have little idea of the Bible story and the sequence of events written therein. The reason for this is that they depend upon their religious leaders who masquerade themselves as truth. The Apostle John uses a unique term to describe those who, knowing the truth of the gospel, set out deliberately to misrepresent its message. He calls them “Antichrist”. “Many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh” 2 John 1:7.
John went on to warn his hearers about the danger of this deceptive teaching from men and women in the last days who perverted the way of truth. Peter explains about the pernicious ways of the false prophet, 2 Peter 2:1. In the last days, widespread deception about antichrist and the false prophet comes from being inconsistent with the scriptures. John reveals that many deceivers are needed to make an antichrist, and now there are many antichrists, 1 John 2:18. The spirit of antichrist is in the world, 1 John 4:3 with many people going out into the world preaching a false gospel, contradicting the work of the apostles who had been sent out into the world by their Master, to preach his message of saving truth, John 17:18; 1 John 4:1. The wonderful thing about the Bible is that it is old and yet is always fresh.

I have received the books you send to me (`1) 2 ‘Bible Basics’ (2) 1 ’Jehovah’s Witnesses, their Doctrines Briefly Tested by Scripture’ and (3) 1 ‘The Death of the Cross’. I told you before these books were to be donated to the University Library. The four ‘Bible Basics’ were donated, as you can see in the picture, to the Chief Librarian, Dr. (Mrs) Ekwere O. Akpan (also Miss Adah and myself), during the presentation on June 13th, while the other two books I kept for myself as I am not leaving them. I received a letter of thanks and saying they were looking forward to receiving more such donations.
