Count Your Many Blessings

The LORD blessed the Eccles Ecclesia bountifully in the past year. We were privileged to share in the joys of Bro. Beresford Williams and his Sister wife, Elaine Williams, as they celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Many young couples and others were in awe as they witnessed these two stalwarts of the ecclesia renew their vows after fifty years.

But most of all, our ecclesia was blessed with the baptism of Phebe Joseph, the granddaughter of Bro Eric and Sis. Alice Joseph, on Sunday November 27th, 2005. In addition, on February 26th, 2006, we were blessed with the baptism of Mr. Edward Bynoe, a 73 year old man.

Our Lord’s return is closer, and He is still calling sinners to repentance. We must always remember the parable of the labourers. Preaching the word to both young and old is essential.

Through God’s grace, we were also happy to receive back into fellowship Bro. Michael Joseph, who had been out for a long time. During this period, brethren did not forsake him, but constantly reminded him of his first love. As a result, on February 19, 2006, he was re-admitted into fellowship.

We reflect on the parable of the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son.

Let us remember the Lord’s command to us, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved”.
