A Perfect Truth

“Then said Martha unto Jesus, ‘Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.’” She went on, “But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.”

“Jesus said unto her, Thy Brother shall rise again. Martha said unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection, at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live, and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? She said unto him, Yes, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world”. (John 11:21-27). Bible readers if they had understood this portion of scripture as a perfect truth, should not teach others about rapture. It is well known that the word rapture appears nowhere in the Bible. Rapture is a human word, brought into the gospel by false teachers. Who first used 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 to back the idea?

This chapter does not write of rapture, but says “caught up in a cloud.” If we go to the letter to the Corinthians: “we shall be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye” (1 Corinthians 15:51,52). The truth remains that “As the Father has life in himself, so hath He given to the Son to have life in himself. And hath given him authority to execute judgement also, because he is the Son of God” (John 5:25,26) which Martha testified
