AFGHANISTAN
This week we baptized a husband and wife, ANISA and ASADULLAH in Afghanistan, and then AREF and ABDUL. We are holding many online meetings every week with Afghanis. Remember to let us know if you'd like to be added to our WhatsApp group and participate in the online baptisms.
CAMEROON
We've had some Bible Basics brochures produced and printed locally in French as brother Wilfred in rural, Francophone Cameroon was so desirous to take the Gospel face to face to people. He reports with such enthusiasm about his experiences:
"I'm on the return bus as I write this, because I went over 135 km from my home, we went to the university to distribute them and also in Bafoussam, and then we went to another big city. At the university many enjoyed it, and the app downloads have already started after I directed a few to do that. Now on the bus I continue to evangelize on the bus. So we almost finished distributing 250 booklets, and also explaining verbally how the Bible guide app works, and discussing the doctrines several times and then answering many questions as the students ask many question. All the answers that God placed in me gave a sense of the truth to the people. I am so happy".
Wilfred came to us through the Bibe Companion app [French version], was baptized online and is an enthusiastic daily contributor to our French WhatsApp group run by Craig and Miriam. And this has led to him being out there on the ground in rural Africa, distributing the true Gospel in hard copy. Craig and Miriam have suggested we print more such brochures and provide funds for Wilfred and the brethren to travel to meet up and preach further. Around 500 Euro is the suggested figure; if possible, please channel donations for this to Brother Jim Barton in Canada or brother Steve Gretton in UK.
Truly the Gospel is going into all the world.
IRAN
It was a real delight to baptize sister G in Iran, the expression of a very genuine and long held desire to come to the Lord Jesus in spirit and truth. As with so many, she is very fearful of the authorities monitoring her and punishing her decision for Christ.
ISRAEL
Last week we reported many baptisms and great blessing on the visit to Israel. Many of those baptized have subsequently expressed such joy experienced in their lives after baptism. We want to do all we can to pastor them as we prepare for when we can go out and see them again and hopefully baptize more. We have to date been holding our Zoom meetings on SUNDAYS at 9 AM UK time. But those baptized in Israel have only one day off, Saturday, and work on Sundays. And there are in fact very many migrant workers in Israel who are open to the Gospel, isolated from fellowship, and seek some kind of live Christian connection.
So, we've decided to change the day of our meetings to SATURDAYS, but still at 9 AM UK time. We realize this will be good for some and not good for others. But we really want to make an effort to pastor those dear folks in Israel, and they work long hours six days / week. Only Saturday [Sabbath] they have off. That's the reasoning behind it. So do come along to our Zoom room on Saturday at 9 AM UK time and meet our new ones in Israel. This is how their first breaking of bread meeting looked , last week at their farm in the Galilee; we're going to try to enable them to have a similar experience but with us there virtually.
The link to the video of the work in Israel didn't work out, the new one is

We can also report a continuing good response to the Gospel amongst Russian speakers in Israel. Brother Valentin has been sharing our positions on the Devil and demons to many people, online and face to face. Here's a brief video clip of him at the Tel Aviv beachfront enthusing over the book The Real Devil and a Russian woman explaining how the new understanding given her is such a source of freedom for her [English subtitles]. It's always wonderful to see the lights going on and someone joining the dots:

PAKISTAN
SAMUEL, SHAROOL and sister ASTER in Pakistan were baptized online this week, as so often, with an audience from literally around the globe.
UNITED KINGDOM
So happy this week to baptize in London YADGOR and SARMAN, Kurds working in the same fruit and veg shop where some of our existing brethren work. We had a really great time with them together, and it was very encouraging to see those baptized a few years ago still holding on in faith and preaching to others.
PRAYER POINTS
- For our efforts to pastor those in Israel and to make contact with other such seekers
- For those recently baptized
- For the work ongoing with Iranians in Turkey, Julian and Duncan are there as we go to press
- For those living under constant fear and threat in Iran and Afghanistan
With love from your brothers and sisters of Carelinks
