LATVIA This has been a very demanding week, with temperatures down to -30 C. Without warmth and food, human beings cannot survive at this temperature. For the rough sleepers, this has been a critical time. We've been taking food , clothing and firewood out as before. Taking clothes, food and warmth to people is actually lifesaving at these temperatures.

Some of the homeless are coming in to the supermarket entrance area and just standing there with their plastic bags of possessions, just to have the warmth from the hot air jets which come out near the sliding entry doors. We did take some video of these folks; here's a still from it:

BENIN EDGAR is more fruit from the French app. He lives in a remote village in rural Benin, West Africa. He has a very strong desire to do the right thing before God and the Lord Jesus. It was a pleasure to witness his baptism- and a wider range of witnesses it would be hard to imagine. Mark Lisa in Perth, Western Australia showed us the temperature on their screen- +34 C, with John Thatcher in Sydney not much cooler. Whilst it was -20 in Latvia. Our French speakers too were as varied as could be- from Betty Flaherty on her and Mike's boat moored off Queensland, Australia, to Craig and Miriam in France- and Edgard in his sun soaked, red-earth mud hut village in Africa. We can only thank God for the spread of the Gospel and the way we are being drawn together from all over the planet.
