A reminder of our alcohol free Christmas Party for church in a pub, to be held Lord willing at The Venue, 5 Middle St. Croydon CR01RE on Wednesday 11 December at 5:30 PM. Do come along and give us a hand and chat with folks. Any musicians very welcome. And we're open to any donations towards the event, it'll probably cost around £600 as we expect up to 100 visitors.
Thanks to Peter, Grace and Lois for all their work at The Venue this week. One talk was recorded , John's picture of what it is to be a Christian might surprise you,

It's pretty well impossible to run our sessions single handed so please do consider also coming to help.
And then we spent a great evening in Feltham, west London at an asylum seeker hotel baptizing FARHAD- the last night of Mark's Europe trip. But we ended up making a great witness and explaining the Gospel to others in that huge hotel; a wonderful evening working together with the Lord. By the end of it another three people had downloaded the Bible Companion app and we hope the seed sown will grow, to His glory.

We had a wonderful day on Sunday at Church in a Pub. Brother Peter did a truly great job running the meeting; our usual bar was closed so we had to run the meeting in the public bar, with all kinds of punters and others wandering in and out disturbing us. But some stayed and listened to the service, that was the great thing. We also have sister Grace and sister Lois from Canada with us helping with the catering at The Venue. And brother Mark Hawkins was transiting London en route from Ukraine to Australia. A good number therefore came back for the baptism of JAMES. What a character. He has written many poems, about God and creation, all very cockney English and very cleverly done. He recited some of them from memory at his baptism service, and one he recited immediately prior to his immersion. They're just lovely poems, the words and thoughts of a working man about God... really lovely. You can hear him recite them in the baptism service
 at https://youtu.be/It8d-l_-KVE
and you can view just his baptism and hear just one of the poems at https://youtu.be/wct9KOb81eA

We thank God for reaching out to this man, who was reaching to Him all his life.
