February 2024 Afghanistan, Ukraine, UK, USA

This week we baptized MUSTAFA online in Afghanistan, the result of some already baptized bravely reaching out to others.

Conscription is now becoming a really big issue in Ukraine and Russia. Officers are patrolling and asking men for their identity and to prove they are not liable for military service. There are even social media groups warning where and when these patrols are out. So do pray for our brethren aged 18-55 who are liable... The photo is from Ukraine.
In other news from Ukraine, we're pleased to say that sister Ludmila and brother Vladimir, who very nearly died when their flat suffered a direct hit, are now out of hospital and in another flat.

We continue reaping the fruit of so many online listeners and viewers of our talks at the Pub every Sunday, and the three meetings / week we hold in central Croydon. We broadcast them all live and then later on YouTube, available
 on our channel https://www.youtube.com/carelinksministries
This week we baptized online DANNY, a 49-year-old man who is currently long term in care with mental health issues but has free access to the internet on his phone. He is really so devoted to the things of the Lord Jesus and the Kingdom.
This week was half term and so sister Evia at 14 was able to help, and she ended up doing all the food provision and clean up... only getting help with actually serving the food out. We really could do with more help in Croydon....
Last Sunday was another great day at Croydon Church in a Pub. Sermon on Mark 6, only Jesus satisfies,

And then the baptisms of JAMES and FRANK, with 91-year-old Marcus holding the legs. Marcus is back active at church, encouraging Tony to get baptized and engaging with everyone present. Frank gave quite an amazing personal testimony of how he was the son of a drug dealer, who was murdered, and himself was a long time in prison... until being totally transformed by the power of the Gospel. It's really worth listening to, and then afterwards you can see the baptism and Marcus making the perilous journey back down steep stairs after helping do

This is what it looks like, "to serve Thee to the end":

We've been so happy to have contact with BOB in Tennessee who has been studying our teachings for some time and desired to be baptized. He explains:
"Thank you for loving and caring about me, a stranger 4,000 miles away. I have been baptized before but have been pondering on my need to be rebaptized. I thought about Acts 19, and I read Romans 6 again. I baptized myself tonight in my bathtub about 45 minutes ago, into the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. Now I'm your brother 4000 miles away. I thank our God for your efforts, which has reached me so far away. Please pray for me. I will make an honest attempt to fellowship with you in the near future despite the time difference". Bob asks us to pray he can persuade his wife Courtney to be baptized:

   - For those recently baptized
   - For our brethren facing conscription in Russia, Ukraine and elsewhere in Europe
   - For more help in south London UK
   - For the partners of those being baptized to also accept the Lord
   - For our planned work in Spain this week
With love from your brothers and sisters of Carelinks
