Youth Camp at Lake Kariba Zimbabwe
(Banket, Zimbabwe)
My name is Collen Banda Yelulani, aged 26, the fourth son of David B. Yelulani and my young brother; Norman, aged 23, is the fifth son in the family. We were privileged to have a wonderful opportunity to appear at the young camp for the first time which was held at Lake Kariba on 24-28 April 2013.
For four days we immensely enjoyed partici- pating in every activity. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Brethren and Sisters who organised the event, not excluding Christadelphian elders who were present with us, namely: Farai Phiri, Moses Dhlakama, Danmore Kaocha, Richard Katongomara and Archbody Muhle. They monitored every situation in a splendid manner.
We learned the Truth from different speakers at the camp. We were spiritually and physically uplifted and stimulated. It was a great honour for us to be among other youths from different areas of Zimbabwe. We were taken to different places within the lakeside where we were shown boats, hotels, animals, crocks, fish and the immigration office at the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia. Then we went to see the dam wall, which was wonderfully constructed. While at the dam wall, we were allowed by the responsible authority to cross the border and visit the Zambia side for one hour only, then back to Zimbabwe. We all enjoyed the trip.
The photo was shot on the Zambian side. Standing left to right: me, Collen, and my younger brother, Norman. We thank God for His love, guidance and protection. This was a memorable event for the Christadelphian youths in Zimbabwe.
