July 2025 Afghanistan, North America, Ukraine, UK

There's a new update on the Bible Companion app. Thank you so much to all who contributed time, money and prayers to this project. It has been hugely blessed, both to bring people to the Lord and to shepherd those who have been baptized. Nearly 10000 people / day use the apps worldwide; and they spend an average of nine minutes each on it. That's a huge amount of engagement- people worldwide spend around 1400 hours every day spent on the apps. And this has been going on for nearly 6 years. This is huge engagement and we give thanks to the Lord for it. If you've not downloaded it, it's for Android

and for iOS at

AFGHANISTAN
Delighted to say that despite so many obstacles, we were able to baptize HAMID online this week thanks to the Bible app.

NORTH AMERICA
This week Jim & Anne were able to be present with us to witness the self baptism of MOJI. She so sincerely wanted to come to the Lord Jesus having quit Islam and come to believe in Jesus some time ago:

UKRAINE
Whilst the world seems focused on the Middle East, bombardment of civilian areas in Ukraine has hugely increased over the last few weeks. We have had the following pictures sent to us this week from brethren in Kiev, Odessa, Sumy and elsewhere. These are the images that our brothers and sisters are experiencing in real life. Many are spending the nights in the metro stations, where it's so hard to sleep as there are crying babies and children and the lights are on all the time; and WIFI means people are endlessly talking on their phones using WhatsApp. Telegram or Viber. Absolutely everyone has someone in their family who has been directly affected. Direct hits on civilian apartment blocks are now commonplace; body bags and funerals are visible all the time. They will all have post traumatic stress after this. We are facing the need to relocate some of our sisters and their children from badly affected areas. Sister Natalya mentioned to us how her autistic son brother Misha is now stuttering and in deep anxiety crisis after a week of every night spent in the metro stations. We have to do something about these things. Brother Duncan is making an emergency visit to Ukraine this week, in connection with resettling some of our affected ones in western Ukraine. We really do need your prayers and if you can, your donations. Significant sums are involved in this work. There's a Facebook appeal for this work at

Sister Natalya has been bombed out but managed to get to Ireland. She doesn't know English and says she's happy enough and feels very safe where she is but very much missing Ukraine and her daughter and grandson. All so hard all around... Here's a file photo of our sister after a breaking of bread meeting on one of our visits last year:

UK
We keep on keeping on with our work in south London, with good attendances and a very low drop off rate at our meetings on Sundays at the Pub, and at The Venue midweek. The hot weather is so hard for our homeless ones, who have again had to move their tents to avoid having them cleared by the Council. Here is one set up opposite the Salvation Army hall on the Croydon flyover. What our small organization is doing in terms of numbers of meals and coffees provided seems far greater than what much larger organizations are doing.

Sister Cis is such a faithful helper in the kitchen, doing it all single handed very often... but really we could do with far more boots on the ground to help. Please do seriously consider coming and helping.

PRAYER POINTS
   - For those recently baptized
   - For those under bombardment in Ukraine and our wisdom in how to help them at this time
   - For the children in Ukraine who are traumatized and their long term mental health
   - For more boots on the ground in our work in South London
   - For our visit to Ukraine this week

With love from your brothers and sisters of Carelinks
