October 2025 Ukraine, UK, Hebrew Language app
UKRAINE There have been very heavy air raids and shelling this week where our dear ones are located in Ukraine. Brother Mark and Duncan plan a longer than usual visit to Ukraine at the end of this month and into November, Lord willing. Really appreciate your prayers at this point as they plan their itinerary, aware that nowhere is really safe in Ukraine. This week we were sent photos from a sister in Ukraine, of scenes from areas we have visited and where our brothers and sisters live in daily fear of the attacks. These are pictures of bridges we have crossed, hospitals we visited, towns we have been in. Scenes we have seen, young kids with their name and date of birth and some contact phone number written on their backs by a sibling... Every family amongst our brothers and sisters has been seriously affected, losing either their properties or loved ones one way or another as a result of this terrible war. Which we need to pray will come to some kind of end, for the sake of the extreme human suffering this is causing. As usual we are open to your financial support as well as your prayers.

The scale of Ukrainian losses and suffering has been played down in the western press, in our opinion. There are massive new graveyards being opened in forests... we just pray, really, that all this can come to an end. Above all of course, for the Lord's return.

Special Appeal: We have our weekend at Carrotty Wood, Kent coming up God willing Nov. 7-9. We really need someone to help our teenage sister Evia do the catering for that weekend. About 30 people. We have plenty of helpers, but need someone to take on responsibility for it all, meal plans and ingredient list etc. And maybe making cottage pie there, rather than buying those pre-cooked, expensive, plastic tasting ones from Tesco's or Lidl. If this need is your call... do let us know. We're also open to donations to cover the total cost of the weekend as many come who can't really pay their way, and we always say, we'd rather see you than your money. And... do come along yourselves!

This week it was our pleasure after Sunday church to visit and baptize ELLEN at her flat in New Addington; a wonderful elderly lady and true sister in the Lord. She can't get out to church due to a stroke etc. but is with us online.

We had a lively pub church on Sunday, with lots of sensible interactions, questions and comments throughout the sermon on Isaiah 53 [after the usual difficult start, but that's how it is]- see it all on YouTube

And then afterwards a group of us gathered together to witness the baptisms of DONNA and her 28 year old daughter GEMMA. They had as it were graduated from attending mid-week lunchtime church, to coming to church in a pub, and thence to baptism. With Cindy baking her special Ozzie recipe cup cakes to celebrate. Such a lot of joy all around.

And yes we left in the cockney banter at the end, folks getting to know each other and inviting each other to meet up in the week. Yes, at the pub. But that's how it is. And folks have to begin somewhere on their Kingdom journey.

Sister Evia has now joined Horley ecclesia but continues active with us at Croydon Church in a Pub. She brought some lovely clothes donated by Horley ecclesia and we then distributed them at pub church, with eager reception as you can see in

Those clothes caused a lot of joy to our folks, many of whom are elderly and living on small benefits:

HEBREW LANGUAGE APP
We have long felt it our duty to make a special witness to Jewish folks in Israel. We have done a lot of work in Israel but mainly baptizing migrant workers who have now left Israel. Preaching Christianity isn't easy there... so we are resolved to produce the Bible Companion app in Hebrew. At this stage we're just assembling the materials and assets needed, audio and video files etc. Please pray for our work, and if there are any speakers of modern Hebrew out there... please, do get in touch as we need lots of help checking things. We're using AI for the videos which are currently on the English version of the app, and our Hebrew speaking contacts say it's all very good and understandable... here's a sample

Lots of prayers needed, as we do believe that the repentance of at least a remnant in Israel will be the fruit on the fig tree which presages and even hastens the Lord's return.
