February 2026 Iran, UK
IRAN Delighted to report the online baptism of MAHDI this week, again a result of the
Bible Companion app which is so widely used, albeit behind VPN, in Iran and Afghanistan.
LATVIA This week we'll be visiting isolated brethren and sisters and contacts, giving winter welfare etc. and appreciate your prayers especially given the very cold weather there at the moment.
UK A reminder of our
Carelinks retreat weekend with
Croydon Church in a Pub, March 21-23 Lord willing, at Carrotty Wood Centre, Tonbridge, Kent. Do come along and spread the news. We are open to your donations to meet the shortfall there will be- we urge all our contacts to come and put what they can in the collection box, but there will be a shortfall of up to £2000.
Meetings continue to have growing attendance in Croydon, both at the pub on Sundays and midweek at The Venue. Word is spreading throughout south London, and we get enquiries all the time, quite without any further advertising. Again, we appeal for support on the ground with all the work.
This week we baptized PADDY, yet another one to be baptized in the bathtub in South Croydon which has now seen a few hundred baptisms over the years. It was great that Paddy's wife wanted to be present online, so Paddy set up his phone so she could view it live on WhatsApp... you can see us just checking she was online. Technology really is such a blessing when used rightly.

So pleased to get up to Birmingham and baptize JONATHAN in the bathtub at his sister's flat, in the presence of his dear mum Angela. Here's a young man who has carefully worked out his faith and come to the Lord in spirit and truth, having first connected with us on YouTube.

All praise again to the Lord who works so actively in the lives and hearts of so many who are seeking Him but don't find Him in standard churchianity. Jonathan was so very grateful. Since following us on YouTube he began doing a work of art for us in appreciation, which was just amazing. Such detail. If you look closely, this fine detailed drawing of new life emerging from chrysallises has the words "Jesus" carefully written in tiny letters throughout it. All our family are so impressed with the work of art. Currently it's on the fridge, but we will frame it. It clearly is the result of a huge number of hours' very careful and thoughtful work.

It's always nice to be appreciated. Sometimes in giving those talks at The Venue in Croydon, with so many interruptions and background noise, interjections from people drunk or high [even though they're a minority] it does naturally feel at times "Is this worth it?". But it clearly is, because for some reason our very, very amateur video recordings are eagerly followed with appreciation by so many throughout the UK, and probably around the world. There's something about our 'raw and real' approach that is clearly attractive to a lot of British people, quite possibly tired with all the high-tech, high-quality productions of more professional churches and evangelists which it seems more and more people are shrugging off as mere 'churchianity'.
PRAYER POINTS
- For those recently baptized
- For our welfare and preaching work in Latvia this week
- For all the thousands of people who regularly follow our talks online
- For overall more support for the work in South London
With love from your brothers and sisters of Carelinks
