Books By The Tonne!

Sister Sylvia Lower (Folkestone) has for some years stored and despatched the 30 works of the truth translated into Russian by CAT (with the financial help of our readers). We do not want them in stock but in the hands of all our Russian-speaking brethren and sisters (and Russians tend to be great readers).

The Russian authorities allow literature to be freely sent, but some organisations are abusing this by sending in printed material subversive to the State. Even in Britain there were importation problems with Sis. Mary Eyre’s book, ‘A Spreading Flame’ – it sounded to the authorities like a terrorist training manual and came under special scrutiny, and hence delays.

So, to get our books out to Eastern Europe a task force of five spent two solid days packing up 200 7kg parcels of assorted books and sending them out. The books were provided by CAT and postage paid by the CBM. Already a number of ‘thank you’ letters have been received.
