Seekest Thou Great Things?
I cannot do great things, dear Lord
To serve Thee day by day,
So help me see the little things
That come across my way.
Is someone sad? Then I can stay
And talk at least a while,
One never knows what joy it gives
To understand, and smile.
Is someone hungry, tired or cold?
I haven’t much to spare,
But even widow’s mites can help
When blest by God through prayer.
Dear Lord, I cannot do a thing
To set the world aflame,
But let me serve in humble ways
In honour of Thy Name.
