the slaves of sin..." "Yield your bodies to Him as implements for doing right; for sin shall no longer be your master, because you are no longer under law, but under the grace of God."
Our old life was buried with Him in baptism and we are raised to newness of life – abundant life – eternal life.

Our Journey Towards the Kingdom (Eph 6:10-19)
Bro. Farai Phiri (Chegutu, Zimbabwe).
The journey towards the Kingdom has ups and downs, but we need to stand firm and be strong in the Lord. There is a need for us to be fully committed to God to get the reward at Jesus' coming. The journey needs brothers and sisters who are willing, and have committed themselves to the teachings of God, not of man. It is hard to walk the journey and to follow the path, as it is narrow and very demanding. We need to fight the demands of the world and overcome evil – and be glad in the Lord. Ephesians 6:13: "Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." A great challenge to us all who long for the Lord's

coming to see our true standing before God.
Truth must always rally behind us, for the world to give glory to God, and let others also want to start the journey and enter the narrow road. Our words must be words of God, help to the Brotherhood and the world at large. Our main aim is to win the lost souls, and together journey towards the Kingdom. We must reflect the joyfulness of the journey, so that many will follow and at last enjoy peace. We need to relax our attitude and deeds in the family of God and outside. Always we need to walk in truth for all the world to see that we are the true children of God. V.15: "having your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace."
The peace of the world should come from us, the children of peace. The journey to peace must be walked - started and ended and achieved - in peace. We all need to pray for the journey to be enjoyable – v.18 "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." Finally, the journey needs those who are strong spiritually and overcome the difficulties of the way.
