When David was confronted with the man who killed King Saul, he affirmed that nobody was to touch people chosen by God. David became a man after God's heart for he knew the will of God. The end of man is not seen from the beginning. Even in your mediocrity, a system can only function well in your presence. Do not look up to man, for only you can help make yourself what you want to be. Nothing is ever late, so life is how you make it. Man will only deceive and disappoint you when you need them most, but not so God. The Almighty God will never fail you, only trust in him, and to this end say: "For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death" (Psalm 48:14). Brethren and sisters, let us all have a good time with the Lord at all times. Amen,
A Faithful Leader
Bro Joseph Zishechi (Mhangura, Zimbabwe)
"Because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it" (Numbers 14:24). We must have the type of leadership like that of `Caleb' for us to cross into the coming kingdom of God. Many churches are failing because of these undevoted leaders. God is seeking for spiritual leaders not, for those who are greedy of earthly things. When appointed to be a leader in God's work ask Him for intelligence, wisdom like king Solomon. As a leader, learn to separate yourself from the darkness of the world so that God will bring you and those whom you lead into His kingdom. Let the light shine and people see the following things in you:
L – Light: people must see light in your living style, not works of darkness
E – Eternity: spread the word of God's reward (eternal life) and make people know about the coming kingdom of God
A – Age: both spiritual and physical growth must be seen in you
D – Death: You must have died to sin and live unto Christ
E – Everyone: must see you depending on His guidance and provision
R –Resurrection: the hope of resurrection will make you stand firm.
Brothers and sisters, if all these things are identified in us, we will be like Caleb, heirs of God's coming kingdom.
Milk and Solid Food
Bro Sylvester Tembo (Mzuzu, Malawi)
We have here two types of foodstuffs, milk and solid food, that are well known to us. They are recorded in the Bible as examples of spiritual infancy and spiritual growth respectively. Milk is the ideal food stuff for babies. That is why Peter had to say: "Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up to salvation" (1 Peter 2:2).
The writer to the Hebrews, when warning against apostasy said: "For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil" (Hebrews 12:14). Therefore the basic principles of the truth are represented by milk, while the spiritual growth one acquires by constant use of the Bible is the solid food. Since the bible was inspired by God, its
