UK Preaching, July 2008
Carelinks readers may recall that we have been running a major advertising campaign in the UK. Over 1500 requests for Bible Basics have been received, and these have been sent out by brethren from the Walton ecclesia in Surrey. It's always encouraging to see that there's more interest than one might think in Western countries. We've been grateful for the support of brethren and sisters throughout the UK in working with us in following up the 1500 people!
One of the contacts writes:
"I am being supported very well by the Bridgend Ecclesia. I am spending time with a Sister going through the basic principles ready for baptism - all going well - at the end of the summer. I am finding that my life now has a focus and I feel as though I belong to the family of God. Again thank you. God Bless, Sarah"
Brother Don Morley from the Rayleigh ecclesia in Essex informs us that at least 3 of the Bible Basics contacts have attended the ecclesia's seminars. Don's done an especially wonderful job in following up on the contacts.
Recently we were able to spend time with a lovely man, PAUL DAVIES, in South Wales. Brother Tim Woodall was a great support locally, driving over from Swansea to meet Paul and Duncan and bringing along towels and dry clothes. Paul gave a wonderful confession of faith to Tim and Duncan and was baptized at his request in the River Taff- in pouring rain, in true Welsh style. We're hoping Tim and Paul will meet up for the breaking of bread and that more contacts in the area will soon be baptized.
You can see a brief video clip of the baptism at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peYFkBFZbOE

Paul took some stones from the river as a memento of his baptism. He really SO appreciates the hope of eternity and life which there is in Christ, and it is a wonderful pleasure to receive text messages and emails from him speaking of his awe and wonder at what God has done for him through His word.

Below are various extracts from correspondence with some of the contacts. Please pray for them all! It's interesting that more and more people are already aware of and even acceptant of our rejection of the Trinity, and our understanding of the Kingdom coming on earth and not in Heaven.
IRAN
Some years ago we baptized brother Reza, and now he and his wife have been expelled from their family home. threatened with death, and have fled to Turkey where they have been partly on the street and partly in the Carelinks safe house, which is now overloaded with two brethren and two sisters living permanently in it. Reza is very scared and frightened. He's appealed to UNHCR for refugee status; please pray he is granted it.
The scale of the work currently going on, especially the various welfare needs of some of the refugee brethren, is really large. For the last couple of months our balance in the Carelinks account has been effectively zero- what comes in goes out, and we have no reserve fund at all. Please do consider supporting our work in whatever way you can, above all with prayer.
With love from your brothers and sisters of Carelinks

I already know about the trinity not existing it doesn't come from the Bible it is more like church tradition rather than bible tradition. I believe that the trinity is from catholic teaching. I also know about the Kingdom of God coming on earth, because I have read it for myself in the Bible. I am also looking forward to that day when Jesus returns from Heaven. I read the Bible every day and I am studying it to see what Gods word says. Yours sincerely Janice. hi, thank you for ur writing, i get the books, and i read some of the chapter, i think they are very simple maybe because of the chapter are like beggning of the christianity or maybe i read a lot from internet but i found your book easy, not more explaining i mean deeply meaning or explaining. anyway thank you for sending me the books. i am living in Newcastle upon tyne. i am a muslim, i want to be a christian but ii want to be ready for it, i started to search and read about christianity 3-4 month ago.
