News from Malawi
MZUZU | Bro Sylvester Tembo
I do communicate with Duncan on facebook
and his Carelinks Ministries. Still more I know
that he is busy as well. I am looking forward
to another brotherly meeting at Chilumba in
the northern part of Malawi. Duncan already
knows Chilumba because in those days when
visiting Malawi he used to travel country wide
seeing brethren and sisters even in remotest
areas. I remember one incident when I was
very new in the Truth when Duncan and myself
had our daily readings in the car while he was
on his way far north of Malawi.

Bro Austin Nyirenda comes from a family
of nine children. He was brought up in the
Presbyterians and joined the Seventh Day
Adventists in 1987. He left them in 2003 as a
result of Bro George Mayimba preaching to him
and since being baptised has been a very
active member.

OBORO |Bro Ikechukwu Ugwu
We sadly report the falling asleep in Christ of
our Brother Friday Enyiogu who was very
active in preaching and expounding the
Truth in a kind and friendly way;
and he was also a valued contrib-
utor to Gospel News which many
were upbuilt by which inspired
Brother Ikechukwu to write this
epitaph.
I write this epitaph because of
his polished letters in the Gospel
News.? When his? death was
announced to us in the Ecclesia on
October 3, 2015, I called him
a? “prolific writer”. Why this choice of
word - Prolific Writer?? Well, at his failing
age,? he? had, established it as his stock in
trade to? always puting pen to paper in the
Gospel News and each time I leafed through
his writings (sometimes in the form of,
exhortation, the coming Kingdom? of God? and
hordes of other interesting? Bible issues),
I? always thrilled and ask myself if this
brother (late now) at his age found time to
write, what of myself?? Paul said:
“Emulate me as? he emulated Christ
and Christ Emulates God”. Our
educated youths and aged
should emulate this lively and
enthusiastic? brother - but? who
can now? set the ball rolling? (or
who can replace him in his
Ecclesia or within our Zone) -
to be a - “prolific writer”?
There was never a dull moment in
his livetime in writing, discussing
with the young ones, the elders and
everyone cheerfully,? calling them by first
names and asking to know your name if you
were the first time brother to him!
