News from Asia
We are delighted to report the baptisms of TAN, LEE and BANG. May the Lord keep them in the way to His Kingdom.
Brother Bang wrote out a short account of his conversion as follows:
"There are lots of churches around the town. They have many activities on Christmas Day. One year, my friends asked me whether I was interested in going to the church and celebrating the Christmas eve. I thought it over for several minutes. Church, a sacred place, Bible, as the world's important literature. So I went from curiosity. After all, I'm interested in history and western culture. I then started to attend the church on Sunday. But later I found many wrong doctrines which contradict the Bible itself. For example, Catholic Church treat Mary as mediator and pray to her. But the Bible says 1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus”. So I started looking for truth. This time I became smarter. I prayed before God, prayed for wisdom, patience and thirsted for righteousness, as well as perseverance, I prayed to the Lord that He can give me a good teacher. Praying to the Lord all the time. Eventually God answered my prayer. I found your website and learnt from you and now have been baptized into Jesus Christ. Thank God for the leading, He gave me wisdom, gave me a guider to His kingdom".
Bro. Donald writes about the baptism of Br. Tan:
Tan used to be a very devout Buddhist, his family were Buddhist devotees . He found Buddhism to be somewhat pessimistic and he had tangled himself in the Buddhists doctrine for a long time, until he met a man in the village and learnt about the Christian way . He found it very painful to accept the Christian faith because of his long affinity with Buddhism. He hesitated for more than four months. Finally he believed in the Lord, because it was not like what Buddhism teaches, where everything is predestined. Now, after learning the Truth, he found this decision to turn to Christianity was not wrong. He has had many problems because of his decision. I used a passage in the Bible from Job to encourage him to grow in faith. Job lost all of his family, all of his property. But finally God not only healed his body, but also blessed him much more. As long as we always trust, always rely on Him, God would like to provide Tan with the strength to get through these sad times. He will comfort and lead him. Amen".
Thank God, life and work are very good in this new city, I am in a new company, the boss and colleagues are very kind. I just got a Bible New Testament from my boss, the bilingual version: NKJV and Traditional Chinese Union version!
God bless you!

Our brother Suum reports another visit to Bible Basics contacts and comments: "This time we need your prayer support to stand firm and do more for the Lord, Pray for our government; we are limited in worship and not allowed to pray and worship God sometimes".
