The Blood of Jesus

In the New Testament that our justification and salvation is through the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:7). “Greater love has no-one that this, than that he lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). We must understand that it is a biblical principle that the life of every creature is its blood (Lev 17:14), in fact, the law required, that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and “without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness”. Without blood a body cannot live, it is therefore symbolic of life. “He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves, but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood having obtained eternal redemption” (Heb 9:12).

“Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood you have no life in you” (John 6:53). Blood is a symbol of doctrine.
