Ukraine, Lithuania, furniture, old magazines, June 2008
Carelinks workers have been distributing Bible Basics and other literature for many years, and systematically encourage those baptized to spread the word further. This is now paying off in a large harvest of baptisms.
Our sister Ludmila was baptized near Vilnius in 1996, and for the last few years has been sharing the Truth with her co-worker JOANNA, who after a careful study of Lithuanian Bible Basics finally decided to be baptized. She has a very fine knowledge of the Truth and witnessed to this in her confession of faith. We encouraged Sis Ludmila to baptize her but by special request she asked for Cindy to do this; and it is a true pleasure to report this happened recently in the (rather cold) River Neris near Vilnius:

It was back in 1998 that we mailed a Bible Basics to IHOR, an enquirer from Western Ukraine. It has taken him a long time, and a journey through Baptists, Adventists and Catholicism, to come to a full decision for the Truth, but again it is just such a joy to hear the confession of faith of someone who has sought until they found. Ihor was baptized in the centre of Lviv, in the old Jewish quarter, scene of several ghettos and pogroms, not least in the holocaust.

We give thanks for this progress and are providing our new brother and sister with preaching material so that they in their turn can spread the word further.
FURNITURE
Meanwhile a group of brothers from the Maidenhead, Reading and Walton ecclesias in the UK are about to arrive in Latvia to work on the Carelinks home to prepare for the upcoming Bible School. In response to our appeal to furnish it,a brother with an office furniture business has kindly offered to donate a large number of office tables and other items if we can pay the transport cost, which is (at a reduced rate) about 400 Euros (600 US$). Anyone able to help with this could send the funds directly to him- please contact us for further details at info@carelinks.net
OLD MAGAZINES
We have spare copies of many old volumes of "The Christadelphian" magazine from the 19th and early 20th centuries, almost a complete set. Anyone interested in having them can contact us to arrange delivery or collection from London UK.
With love from your brothers and sisters of Carelinks
