NEPAL
A visit has just been made to Nepal to visit long term Bible Basics contacts there. We're delighted to report the baptism of SANTOSH. Originally a Hindu, suffering from a sight problem as the result of poor nutrition in babyhood and early childhood, he works distributing Vitamin A medication to mothers and young children in order to save others from these problems, especially night blindness which is common amongst those malnourished in youth. He works hard to promote the eating of green leafy vegetables and yellow fruit. Most of his family are in the USA, which he has visited several times. He stays in Nepal solely to help those in need. He became disillusioned with Hunduism and studied the Christian alternative, and after some years of searching became persuaded of the Truth and it was now our utter joy to baptize him. He has many contacts throughout Nepal and we are eagerly looking forward to support his efforts to bring more to the Lord. It was an especial pleasure to listen as our new brother explained how he started reading the New Testament at Matthew chapter 1, struggled with the genealogies, and reads 5 pages each morning and another 5 each night.

He has been given copies of Sis. Robin's Bible timelines, and is currently distributing them to schoolchildren.

Bulk quantities of the Bible timeline have now arrived in the UK and are with Bro Robin & Sis Jean Field of the Kendal ecclesia. You can order them from them at stratagems@ukf.net .
WINTER HEATING
As this project for this year draws to an end, we want to thank all of you who have enabled so much genuine good to be done. We'd like to share with you a letter of heartfelt thanks from our elderly sister Olga, who writes in English [she was an English teacher] as you can see in the photo below. Here's a transcription as follows:
"This is just a quick note to thank you for the money present. It arrived safely. It is immediately useable to lessen my debt for [heating] bills. I have been moved to tears. I got on my knees and thanked God for His grace to me. I owe you a lot. Please pray for my son to get a job. I think with tears in my eyes when it will be the time when I will be able to repay your practical help. But I hope for the better times. God does not keep us from life's storm. He walks with us through them. This amount of money as debt is written on the first page of my Bible. May God bless you. In the love and peace of God, ever your loving sister in Christ, Olga"

CATARACTS
We appreciate the many offers of help received in response to the last carelink appeal for -3.5 spectacles. That need has now been met, many thanks to you all for young living interest.
We appealed in a previous carelink for financial assistance with cataract operations for brethren in Eastern Europe. We showed photos of Brother Anton reading with difficulty at the January Bible School, and of him explaining his problem and presenting the hospital's analysis. We gave him funds for the operation, and he has now had it. We received a lovely letter from him as in the photo. The English translation reads:
"I am glad that it was by God's will that I met with you in Tuchkovo and was
baptized. Thank you so much for your unceasing work to turn a man to God. In
the same way I thank you for the help shown to me to save me from cataracts.
I had the operation in March. Immediately after the operation I could see significantly
better long distance. After two months I will be able to use glasses for close
up , reading and writing. At the moment I am still taking the medication. Now
with the help of a glass I can read the Holy Scriptures...".
With love from your brothers and sisters of CCM
