UKRAINE BIBLE SCHOOL
The Ukraine Bible School is planned for mid-May, and we look forward to talks by Brother Charlie Abel of the Horley, UK ecclesia and local Eastern European brethren. These gatherings are really so vital for the continued development of the many brothers and sisters in this part of the former USSR; we're looking forward to some brethren giving their first public talk. Previously we've invited sponsorship of named individuals; this time we suggest that any interested in sponsoring can bear in mind that the event averages out at around 45 GBP [65 US$, 90 AU$] per head and we're expecting around 40- brethren and sisters who would need this met. There are others who come who do manage to fund themselves. We thought it'd be best this time to ask those who are sponsored to send their thanks directly to donors after the event. REFUGEE BRETHREN
We do ask your prayers for some of our Iranian refugee brethren in Turkey. We know we keep raising the issue, but it really is an unbearable situation for them. Their zealous preaching in their town has gotten them many enemies. More detail and photos were provided on the Carelink email; please contact us if you've not seen a copy. The matters are so sensitive that we can't publish them online. There's also similar details and prayer request for a sister in Turkmenistan.
BROTHER LEONID
Meanwhile we continue to provide Winter Welfare in Eastern Europe. Brother Leonid whom we mentioned last time is just so thrilled with the hope of the Kingdom. He really needs a wheelchair as he's too weak to walk far. If any are interested in 'adopting' our dear brother with regular support, please contact us. We've got him some Pampers, new linen and decent food and he's simply so grateful and happy. May the Kingdom come soon, and till then, may yet more find the true knowledge of the Father and Son and their coming Kingdom which Leonid has:
